Bolton and Shirley Bly Going Away Party
Saturday: July 3rd, 2010 - Starts at 1800
Bill and Shirley are having a party to say "Farewell to Good
Friends"
They will be sailing away on their yacht Pegasus. She is
a 54' Hunter which Bill has done an amazing job outfitting. Following
their arrival on the mainland, they will begin cruising in Mexico.
They've sold the Caddy, but still have a van for sale.
Bill has been a Hawaii Yacht Club member since 1978 and they will
both be missed by their surfing and sailing and fitness club friends.
POTLUCK DINNER
- Turkeys will be cooked by the club, and you can bring a dish to
serve as well.
- Open Bar Lower level at the Hawaii Yacht Club

Koko Marina Boating Fun
Fest
 On
Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 9:00am to 3:00pm, the safe boating partners
will be holding the Koko Marina Boating Fun Fest to celebrate National
Safe Boating Week 2010. The safe boating partners are the Honolulu
Sail & Power Squadron, Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, and
the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DOBOR). 
Participating vendors will have exhibits, including giveaways and
samples; the partners will be providing demonstrations (such as a
Coast Guard search and rescue demonstration using helicopters, etc),
free vessel safety checks, informational exhibits, T-shirts for keikis,
and prizes for all ages. HOST will be there to answer questions on
diving and other ocean safety issues. Vendors include West Marine,
Duffy Boats, Windward Boats, Shark Energy Drinks, and many more. Keikis
(and small adults) will be able to color designs for the T-shirts,
with a contest for the best T-shirt (prize donated by Hawaii Nature
Center - including a one-year membership for keiki and parent, participation
in a week-end program, etc). Other prizes for attendees include life
jackets, certificate for free services, etc.
Attached is a flyer for the event. Please come. The event is free
and everyone should gain something from attending - information, prizes
small and more substantial for all ages, samples of goods, a boat
ride, and/or a better understanding of how to have fun on the water
safely (for all ocean users).

Mother's Day Celebration
May 9th, 9:30 to 1:30
Bring mothers, sisters, wives, significant others and family to the
Mothers' Day Celebration Buffet. Each adult female will receive a
red rose. Sorry fellas. Staff Commodores will be pouring champagne,
and Chef Alfredo will be in rare form, and going all out for this
one. Check

$30 Per Adult with special Keiki pricing!
Entertainment will be provided by 20 Degrees North and there
will be games with small gifts. Come ready to have a great time!
You can purchase your tickets from the HYC office. Select your seating
and enjoy a special treat at the Hawaii Yacht Club.
